At Koncept Plaster, we believe great homes are built through trust, intention and clear communication. Koncept Plaster was built on a shared respect for quality work and lasting design. Influenced by the materials and building traditions of our founders' home countries, we bring a practical understanding of craftsmanship to every project.
Our approach combines precision with creativity, resulting in work that is thoughtful, durable and true to its purpose. Every wall is applied by hand, one coat at a time, by people who trained on the material itself rather than a shortcut version of it.
Co-Founder
Built by Hand, From the Ground Up
Gerson Bueno, originally from El Salvador, discovered his passion for construction early on. After moving to the U.S., he bought and rebuilt his first home in Texas at just 19, a project that sparked a lifelong dedication to the craft.
He went on to flip and build numerous homes before becoming a project manager for a luxury builder in Austin, where he refined his expertise in the high-end space. As co-founder of Koncept 8, Gerson is known for his hands-on approach, sharp problem-solving and attention to detail, all focused on bringing a client's vision to life with precision and care.

How We Work
Designers
We work from a designer's spec and palette, applying the finish so it matches the vision on paper, not just the general idea of it.
Builders
On new construction and remodels, we plan around the builder's schedule so plaster lands at the right point in the build, not before the walls are ready or after everything else is finished.
Homeowners
For homeowners working without a designer or contractor already in place, we walk through finishes, samples and scope directly, in the showroom or on site.

Koncept Plaster is the plaster studio of Koncept 8 Development Partners, the Austin design-build firm. The two share a showroom and an address, and work together on projects that call for both construction and finish work.
Where is the showroom?
2404 Lake Austin Blvd, Austin, TX 78703. It is open Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and weekends by appointment.
Do you work directly with homeowners, or only through builders and designers?
Both. We work from a designer's spec, alongside a builder's schedule, or directly with a homeowner who has not brought in either one yet.
What areas do you serve?
Austin and the greater Central Texas area.
Do I need to already have a finish picked out before reaching out?
No. Plenty of people start with a room they want to change and no finish in mind yet. That is exactly what the showroom and a first conversation are for.
